Luna and Ollie

I love all animals, but I especially love rabbits. I adopted Luna and Ollie separately from Hoppy Homes Rescue (in St. John’s, NL). With Hoppy Home’s guidance, I bonded the two. All rabbits from Hoppy Homes Rescue are spayed or neutered. Bonded pairs eat together, groom each other and sleep lying close to each other. Before Luna and Ollie, I had a bunny named Willow for over 11 years. Rabbits need hay, fresh greens, rabbit food, clean water and litter material (wood pellets).

My rabbits stay indoors, uncaged, and they have the run of the family room. Rabbits need to chew and they do, indiscriminately and destructively, including things harmful to them. The owner must rabbit-proof the room and give them a safe environment.

My bunnies enjoy getting petted but Like most prey animals they do not like getting picked up.

Rabbits are lovely to observe and I derive great joy from taking care of these gentle creatures. Perhaps you will learn how to take care of rabbits and consider adopting a spayed or neutered bunny or a pair of bunnies from an animal shelter.
